
Vías y Construcciones Begins Construction of a New 1,013-Meter Underground Section for the Third Section of Seville Metro Line 3

Seville, Spain, June 20, 2025 – Vías y Construcciones, a subsidiary of the ACS Group, has begun construction on the third section of Seville Metro Line 3. The project is being carried out in a joint venture with Lantania (25%) and DSV Constructora y Ferroviaria (10%), and was awarded by the Regional Government of Andalusia with a budget of €143.3 million (excluding VAT) and a 46-month construction period.
The groundbreaking ceremony, held today, marks the start of a strategic infrastructure project for the development of Seville's metropolitan transport system. During this symbolic event, institutional representatives and members of the joint venture highlighted the importance of the new underground section, designed to improve urban mobility, strengthen the public transport network, and contribute to a more sustainable, efficient, and better-connected city.
Technical Description of the Project
The new section will run between Avenida Doctor Fedriani and the intersection of Calle San Juan de Ribera with Ronda Histórica, with a total length of 1,013 meters. The planned works include:
